News Stories
7th Grade spent part of the year learning what makes a good news story and creating their own newspaper. One of the first things they did as part of this unit was to recreate a well-known fairy tale as a news story and here's the breaking news!
Thanksgiving means turkeys and Middle School students used KidPix to create a turkey this year and then these were compiled into a slideshow using Animoto As a celebration of fall, Middle School students created a person out of a photo of a leaf and then wrote a Bio Poem for their leaf person. September 2009
7th Grade watch President Obama's Message for American Students and discussed the message that they felt it conveyed.
Each 7th grader then created a document detailing their goals for this school year and how they planned to accomplish these goals. Each student selected at least one of their goals and posted it to a VoiceThread. St. Martin's 8th Grade students and students at St. Clare School on Staten Island, NY also participated in this VoiceThread and other schools may also add their goals at a later time.
